Upromise

Saving money for your kid’s college education may be the first thing to go when money is tight. Upromise is a great way to keep the savings coming in just by doing what you normally do.

Simply sign up with your grocery or drug store card and save money for college as you shop.  It took me about three years before I started to figure out how to actually make this program work.  Here are my BIG THREE tips:

  1. Ask friends and family to sign up under your account. (Grandparents especially love to help with this!)  Just click on ‘Family and Friends’ at the top of the home page and you can send them an e-mail, asking for their help.
  2. Activate the monthly eCoupons. On the right hand side of the screen, you’ll see a link for eCoupons.  By activating these at the beginning of the month, you will get a little more ‘bang for your buck’ when you purchase select products.  The money that you save will go directly into your Upromise account.
  3. Play the Drugstore Game! Prior to learning this game, I did not earn a dime from Upromise because I so rarely bought name brand products.  Now that I’ve learned how to buy name brand products for free or nearly free, the Upromise savings have started to flow!

Hi I just have a question? Hopefully you can help. I just put new coupons on my upromise card and activated them. I did the no yolk ones and have already used them. My question is how long does it take to show up on upromise account? Thanks so much for all you do!

    Brooke,

According to their web-site, it should take about 30-60 days for eCoupons to be credited to your account. You can find out more from their contribution timetable here: http://www.upromise.com/nspage?su=8201

    Hope this helps!
