The couponing community continues to blow me away with their support of this crazy idea I had called Couponing for Community. I’m not gonna lie. I.am.loving.it!
Here are a few highlights of the day:
- We now have over 200 participants who have rsvp’ed on Facebook. (Have you?!) The pictures of donations are starting to pop up and if that doesn’t inspire you, I’m not sure what will!
- I was pleased to find out that the Couponing for Community event was highlighted on MSN’s Smart Spending. It’s a great article–check it out!
- Amy at Saving With Amy has put together a hot list of FREE to cheap items that you can still gather this week at grocery store and drug stores. If you don’t have a stockpile, it’s an easy way to begin!
Tomorrow I plan on beginning to put together my donations. I can’t wait! (Oh…and I can’t wait to see yours too!)
Let’s flex those couponing muscles, y’all!
I’m certainly not done but just today I got a full size bottle of Dawn with Olay & a full size bottle of Pert Plus & it only cost me 38 cents (just the tax)! I love the idea of “using our power” for good.

Does leaving food for my postman on Saturday count? I’d really like to do more but we just moved and i have a term paper due so that’s really all the time I have to give at the moment, but I’m happily donating from my stash.
