Updating the List: Gardening

Remember The List?  Well, we’ve been working on crossing off another item and I wanted to share some pics!

We currently rent an apartment, so our gardening takes place in pots.  We’ve gardened in pots in past years, but this is our first year starting our plants from seed.  This year, we are growing tomatoes, lettuce, basil, and broccoli.   It’s so fun to watch them grow.  (And it’s about the only reason I feel grateful for the constant rain this summer.  Sigh.)

I will admit that my thumb is only a very light green–possibly more of a yellowish tint.  Before I attempted any gardening, I was under the assumption that it was all work and no play, and that I would be up to my armpits in weeding day in and day out.  But what amazes me is that these plants just continue to grow in spite of me.   I really can’t take much of the credit.

How about you?  Are you a gardener?  Leave a link if you have pictures!  I want to see!  (I will try not to be too embarrassed…)

Oh…and while you are checking out The List, add a few more ideas.  We are always looking for new ways to save money!
